Service Benefits

Consistent Care at Every Stage

Invisalign treatment spans multiple appointments over several months. Seeing the same provider at every visit means your progress is tracked accurately against your original treatment plan, adjustments are identified and addressed early, and nothing gets missed between appointments.

See Your Result Before You Commit

Before any aligners are made, we use the 3D scanner and the Invisalign Outcome Simulator to show you a precise visual preview of your projected outcome. You’ll know exactly where your teeth are headed before treatment begins.

Already Have a Dentist?

If you’re satisfied with your current dental provider but need an Invisalign provider, we’re happy to see you at our LIV office for your aligner treatment while you continue your regular care elsewhere. Just let us know when you book.

What Invisalign Treats

Invisalign is an effective treatment option for a range of common orthodontic concerns in adults.

Crowded Teeth

Crowding occurs when there isn’t sufficient space in the jaw for teeth to sit in proper alignment. It makes certain areas harder to clean and contributes to uneven wear over time. Invisalign creates space and guides affected teeth into better alignment.

Gaps Between Teeth

Gaps develop for a variety of reasons, including natural tooth proportions, jaw shape, or shifting following tooth loss. Invisalign closes these spaces gradually, improving both the function and appearance of the bite.

Overbite

An overbite occurs when the upper front teeth overlap excessively over the lower front teeth. Invisalign addresses mild to moderate overbites by repositioning the front teeth and improving the relationship between the upper and lower arches.

Underbite

An underbite occurs when the lower teeth sit in front of the upper teeth when biting down. Invisalign guides mild to moderate cases back into proper alignment, improving bite function and jaw balance.

Crossbite

A crossbite occurs when one or more upper teeth sit inside the lower teeth rather than outside them. Left unaddressed, this contributes to uneven wear on the affected teeth. Invisalign moves them into their correct positions over the course of treatment.

Open Bite

An open bite occurs when the upper and lower front teeth don’t make contact when the mouth is closed, which affects the ability to bite into food effectively. Invisalign brings the teeth into proper vertical contact gradually throughout treatment.

Is Invisalign Right for You?

Invisalign works well for most adults with mild to moderate orthodontic concerns. You’re likely a strong candidate if:

  • You have crowding, spacing, or a bite concern you’d like to address
  • You’re comfortable wearing aligners for the recommended 20 to 22 hours per day
  • Your teeth and gums are in good general health before starting treatment
  • You’d like to see your projected result before committing to treatment
  • You prefer a clear treatment timeline with documented progress at every stage

What to expect

How Invisalign Works

Step one

Consultation and Assessment

Your dentist takes a thorough look at your teeth, gums, and bite, discusses your goals, and confirms whether Invisalign is the right fit. If any concerns need to be addressed before starting, we’ll let you know upfront so there are no surprises once treatment begins.

Step two

Digital Scan and Treatment Planning

We scan your teeth using the 3D scanner: no impressions or trays required. The scan maps the full movement of each tooth from its current position to its planned final position. The Invisalign Outcome Simulator then shows you a preview of your projected result before any aligners are ordered.

Step three

Aligner Fabrication

Your treatment plan is submitted to Invisalign, where your full series of custom aligners is fabricated. When they arrive, you come in to collect them and we walk you through your wear schedule, care routine, and what to expect as you progress through the series.

Step four

Wearing Your Aligners

You wear each set for the prescribed period, typically one to two weeks, before advancing to the next. Aligners need to be worn for 20 to 22 hours a day to keep treatment progressing on schedule. They come out for eating, drinking anything other than water, and your oral hygiene routine.

Step five

Progress Reviews and Completion

You’ll come in for regular check-ins, typically every four to six weeks, so we can confirm your teeth are tracking as planned. Once your final aligner is complete, we assess your result and discuss retainer wear to maintain your teeth in their new position going forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Treatment length depends on your individual case and how consistently you wear your aligners. Most adult cases are completed within six months to two years. We’ll give you a realistic estimate at your consultation.
How many hours a day do I need to wear my aligners?
Aligners should be worn for 20 to 22 hours each day, coming out only for meals, drinks other than water, and your oral hygiene routine. Consistent wear is the most important factor in keeping treatment on schedule.
Will Invisalign affect my speech?
Some patients notice a slight adjustment in speech during the first few days of a new set of aligners. This is temporary and typically resolves quickly as the tongue adapts.
Is Invisalign painful?
Mild pressure when starting a new set of aligners is a normal part of the process and reflects your teeth moving as planned. It typically settles within a day or two. Without brackets or wires, there’s nothing to irritate the soft tissues of your mouth.
Can I eat and drink normally with Invisalign?
Yes. Aligners are removed before meals and drinks other than water, so there are no dietary restrictions during treatment. Rinse or brush before putting your aligners back in.
How do I clean my aligners?
Rinse them with water each time you remove them and brush gently with a soft toothbrush. Avoid hot water, which can distort the plastic, and anything strongly pigmented that could stain them.
What if I lose or damage an aligner?
Contact us as soon as possible. Depending on where you are in your series, we’ll advise moving to the next set or arrange a replacement. Acting quickly keeps any disruption to your timeline to a minimum.
Will I need a retainer after treatment?
Yes. Retainer wear after completing your aligner series is essential to maintaining your result long term. We’ll talk through your options and what to expect at the end of your treatment.
Is Invisalign covered by dental insurance?
Some plans include partial coverage for orthodontic treatment that may apply to Invisalign. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your provider ahead of your consultation. We’re happy to help you work through your benefits when you come in.
Can I do Invisalign at our LIV office if I already have a dentist?
Absolutely. If you’re happy with your current provider but need an Invisalign provider, we’re glad to see you for your aligner treatment at our LIV office while you continue your regular care elsewhere. Just let us know when you book.
