Your First Visit

We know that walking into a new dental office takes a certain amount of trust. Our job from the moment you book is to make sure that trust is well placed. Here's exactly what to expect when you come in for the first time.
Before You Arrive

Get a Head Start From Home

To make the most of your appointment, we'll send you new patient forms to complete online before you come in. Taking care of the paperwork ahead of time means your first visit can focus entirely on you: your oral health, your questions, and your comfort.

A few things to have ready:

  • Your insurance information, if applicable
  • A list of any current medications
  • Any recent dental records or X-rays from a previous provider, if you have them

If you have records from a previous dentist, we'll request a transfer so we're working from your full history rather than starting from scratch.

When You Arrive

A Warm Welcome at Either Location

From the moment you walk through the door, our team is here to make you feel comfortable and at ease. There's no rushing you through intake or leaving you to figure things out on your own. We take the time to get to know you before anything clinical happens.

If you have any concerns about your visit, anxiety about certain procedures, questions about costs, or anything else on your mind, this is the right time to bring them up. We want to know.

Your Appointment

A Relaxed Visit, Tailored to You

Your first visit is designed to give us a complete picture of your oral health so we can provide care that's right for you specifically, not just in general. Here's how it unfolds:

  • You'll start with your hygienist. Before the dentist enters, your hygienist will take a full set of X-rays and a complimentary digital scan. This is a precise baseline of your oral health that we track and compare at every future visit, so small changes don't go unnoticed.
  • Your hygienist will complete your cleaning. Getting your cleaning underway first means you're comfortable and familiar with the team before we move into the exam.
  • Your dentist will join for a thorough examination. We'll review your X-rays and scan, assess your teeth, gums, and overall oral health, and discuss anything we find in plain language.
  • We'll build a plan together. If treatment is recommended, we'll explain exactly what it involves, why it matters for your long-term health, and what your options are. Nothing is scheduled without your full understanding and consent.

Throughout your appointment, we check in regularly. You set the pace, and if you need a break at any point, you'll always get one.

You'll Leave With a Clear Picture

By the end of your first visit, you'll know exactly where your oral health stands, what we recommend going forward, and what your next steps look like. No vague follow-ups, no unexplained treatment plans, just a clear, honest conversation about your teeth and a path forward that makes sense for you.

If you have questions after you leave, we're always a phone call away.
